Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee praised President Trump’s “bold, gutsy decision” to take out Iranian General Quassem Soleimani.
“We should be proud of this president,” Huckabee said during an interview on The Todd Starnes Radio Show. Click here to listen to the full interview.
That being said, Huckabee was surprised that “there is not a more universal appreciation for the military and for the Commander-in-Chief who instructed them to go take out this highly valuable target.”
However, Huckabee was not terribly surprised by the outrage coming from Democrats — especially lawmakers like Rep. Ilhan Omar and Rep. Rashida Tlaib.
“They hate America as we love it. They certainly hate Israel. They are anti-Semitic,” he said.
Huckabee said Omar and Tlaib seem to have more a kinship with the people of Iran.
“They feel closer to them than they do to most of us,” he said.
