Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) is facing backlash after she posted an odd Twitter message affirming that she is a hijabi, Muslim, Black, foreign-born, refugee, Somali.
“Easily triggering conservatives, Right wing bloggers, anti Muslim bigots, tinfoil conspiracy theorists, birthers, pay me a (dollar emoji) to bash Muslims fraudsters, pro-occupation groups and every single xenophobe since 2016,” she tweeted.
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) quickly pointed out that she failed to identify herself as an U.S. citizen.
