“I’m Not Afraid of Tyrants,” NJ Gym Owner Arrested for Defying Governor

(This is a transcript of Todd’s morning radio commentary)

Hello Americans. I’m Todd Starnes with news and commentary next.

In New Jersey you can riot in the streets but you can’t do pilates in the gym.

Governor Phil Murphy’s stay-at-home order bans people from going to fitness centers.

Part of an effort to curb the China Virus – it’s not working out all that well.

The other day – Ian Smith decided to re-open his gymnasium in defiance of the governor.

He and his business partner run the Atilis Gym in Bellmawr.

They maintained strict protocols to keep everyone safe – but that was not good enough for state leaders.

And the other day – the sheriff showed up to arrest Mr. Smith and his business partner. Charged with contempt of court. They could face up to 18 months in jail.

Mr. Smith tells Fox News that he is not afraid of tyrants. No American should be.

And in my estimation we need a whole lot more Americans like Ian Smith.
