Several weeks ago former FBI Director James Comey alleged that he and his wife were strolling along a beach and suddenly came upon shells that had been arranged to form the numbers 86-47. Comey shared the bizarre image on Instagram.
The nation’s former top law man then pleaded ignorance when he was accused by the Trump Administration of advocating for the president’s murder.
Even Deputy Barney Fife knew that the numbers 86 were code for assassination.
To date, Comey has not been charged with a crime. There was no pre-dawn, guns-drawn raid. And I warned you at the time – that would lead to bigger problems.
Never Trumpers feel emboldened and sure enough – in the aftermath – people across the nation are using the 86 47 as some sort of morbid rally cry.
Over the weekend, dozens of protesters in Wichita, Kansas clogged downtown sidewalks chanting Comey’s slogan. And no surprise – but no one was arrested. Not a single person was arrested for threatening the President of the United States. Watch video of the violence below:
Wichita City Councilman Dalton Glasscock, a staunch conservative, blasted the outrageous scene.
“What happened today in downtown Wichita is not at all reflective of the values of our community,” Glasscock said. “This is sickening. All threats made against the President should be taken seriously by law enforcement.”
Stacy Rogers, who is running for governor in Kansas, posted a photograph a few weeks ago of a protester holding a “severed head” of President Trump.
“There is no excuse for this. It is gross and heinous,” she wrote on X. “If we do not call out the wrongs when we see them, our society is lost.”
President Trump has been the victim of at least two assassination attempts that we know about. He nearly had his head blown off by a would-be assassin in Butler County, Pennsylvania. By the grace of Almighty God the president’s life was spared.
It’s time for leaders of the anti-Trump resistance to order their minions to stand down. There is no place for such violent rhetoric in American politics.
