Initially, I thought perhaps Zohran Mamdani’s remarks had been taken out of context. But on NBC’s Meet the Press, he doubled down on his beliefs.
Mamdani is a Muslim Socialist. He’s also a Democrat and he’s only been a citizen of the United States for seven years.
The 33-year-old is not a socialist in name only. He literally wants to redistribute the wealth and take over privately owned enterprises.
And his stunning primary win is a direct result of an academic system that has turned a generation of young Americans into wannabe socialists.
The great irony is that Mamdani grew up in a privileged household. His father is an Ivy League profession. And his mother is an Oscar-nominated filmmaker who lives in a multi-million-dollar apartment.
