DEVELOPING STORY: A massive brawl erupted on the field after Michigan’s upset victory over the Ohio State Buckeyes. Michigan players had planted their flag at midfield when punches were thrown. A second fight erupted seconds later leading law enforcement to deploy pepper spray against the Michigan players. “You hate to see stuff like that after the game. It’s just bad for the sport, bad for college football. They gotta learn how to lose man,” Michigan’s Kalel Mullings told Fox. “You can’t be fighting.”
Ohio State police said they are investigating.
“Following the game, officers from multiple law enforcement agencies assisted in breaking up an on-field altercation,” Ohio State police said. “During the scuffle, multiple officers representing Ohio and Michigan deployed pepper spray. OSUPD is the lead agency for games & will continue to investigate.”
