BREAKING: Baby-Saving Marine Who Appeared at Trump Rally Under Investigation
The Marine who appeared with former President Trump at a Georgia rally Saturday has reportedly been placed under investigation, according to military officials.
Lance Cpl. Hunter Clark saved a baby at the airport in Kabul, Afghanistan captured in a viral video before appearing with Trump in Atlanta to cheers of “USA! USA! USA!”
“Clark’s command is reportedly looking into whether he violated the military’s ban on active-duty troops engaging in political activity,” Task & Purpose reports.
“The 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) has initiated a command investigation regarding LCpl Hunter Clark’s attendance at the event last weekend to determine if any DoD policies were violated,” Capt. Kelton J Cochran, a spokesman for the 24th MEU, told the outlet. “Any details pertaining to this incident are not releasable while the investigation is being conducted.”
After Trump invited him on stage for “bravely” serving in Kabul, Clark introduced himself as “the guy that pulled the baby over the wall,” adding that “it’s definitely probably one of the greatest things I’ve done in my entire life.”
The Marine continued, saying “I just want to thank all the support from all y’all. It really means a lot and I’m glad to be home now today. Thank you.”
He shook Trump’s hand and walked off stage as the crowd cheered.
The report comes after Lt. Col. Stuart Scheller was put in military jail for speaking out against military leaders for the failed Afghanistan withdrawal.
