Hello Americans, I’m Todd Starnes. Stand by for news and commentary next.
In Oklahoma you can be born male or female. And that’s it.
That’s the law of the land after Governor Kevin Stitt signed a bill banning nonbinary birth certificates.
“We must stand up and put a stop to this nonsense regarding biological sex,” Sen. Michael Bergstrom (R-Adair), the Senate sponsor of the bill said in a statement. “It’s not a complicated issue – biologically, you’re either a male or female. There should be no other option to choose from on a birth certificate.”
Last year the Oklahoma Health Department stopped issuing or changing birth certificates with non-binary as a gender option.
“People are free to believe whatever they want about their identity, but science has determined people are either biologically male or female at birth,” Oklahoma Rep. Sheila Dills (R-Tulsa), the House sponsor of the bill, said in a statement. “We want clarity and truth on official state documents. Information should be based on established medical fact and not an ever-changing social dialogue.”
Meanwhile, the Biden Administration is allowing people to choose x as a third gender on their passports.
It’s a sex and gender free for all.
I know there are people on the right who are celebrating Oklahoma’s new law — but I’m not in a celebratory mood.
The idea that we have to codify something as simple as the sex of a baby should terrify the nation.
It’s a slippery slope to Sodom and Gomorrah, America.
