Videos emerged on social that showed protesters chanting, “Death to America,” and the footage did not take place in downtown Tehran, but rather the streets of an American city.
Jason Howerton of the Blaze posted the video on Twitter and wrote, “The left has created a monster that they have lost complete control of…I never thought I’d see people chanting “death to America” in the streets of America.”
Reports indicated that the footage was shot on the streets of Oakland, Calif., during a recent night of unrest. This is not an isolated incident of protestors taking direct aim at the country. American flags have been burned at several protests and at least one video emerged out of Kenosha, Wis., that showed a woman yelling, “Death to America” outside the city’s county courthouse as a flag burned.
Another woman could be heard saying, “Kill the police,” while holding the flag.
There have been ongoing debates about the end goals of these violent protests that have emerged in cities like Kenosha, Portland and Seattle. Most in attendance say they are there to end police brutality, but there does not seem to be a clear, shared goal by these anarchists.
Many conservatives say these protesters are being propped up by the Democrat Party and want to fundamentally change the country into a socialist society that frees violent offenders, disbands police departments and pay reparations for slavery.
Todd Starnes, the host of the “Todd Starnes Show,” has been a vocal critic against the violent protesters and that Democrat politicians who allow them.
“There’s only one way to deal with the violence spreading across our great nation—and that’s by electing law and order Republicans,” Starnes tweeted. Starnes slammed Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler of spewing “Nazi propaganda” when the embattled official tried to blame Trump for the violent outbreak in his own city.
Starnes called out Joe Biden for “remaining silent” for months about the anarchy in the streets of America, and only now came out and denounced when occurred in Kenosha.
“The only reason they’re doing this is because, clearly, Democrats have misjudged how important this is to the American people,” he said. “The Democrats–honest to goodness, folks– had no idea that you don’t want your houses burned down.”
Rowan Dean, a Sky News host, blamed Democrats for allowing these protests to spin out of control.
“What we’ve seen is this groveling on the part of many Democrats to the Black Lives Matter movement which is Marxist, anti-Semitic, anti-capitalist, anti-law and order, which is basically anarchy,” Dean said. He continued, “They are so desperate they would have anarchy on the streets in some of the poorest places in America simply to try and make Trump look bad.”
