One big unhappy family?
Former First Lady Michelle Obama is steering clear of the presidential campaign trail this year over frustration toward the Bidens for how they treated a former family member, according to multiple sources in an exclusive report at Axios.
“The family tensions — and the former first lady’s disdain for partisan politics — are partly why one of the Democrats’ most popular voices hasn’t campaigned for President Biden’s re-election,” as noted by Axios.
Michelle Obama, 60, said her friend Kathleen Buhle — Hunter Biden’s ex-wife — has been largely exiled by the Biden family.

Per Axios, “Michelle Obama, who had become friends with Buhle during the Obama administration, privately told others that she felt Buhle had been wronged.”
“Buhle had to deal with Hunter’s drug use and infidelity — and then Biden family members blamed Buhle for some of the salacious details of his behavior becoming public,” Axios added.
Hunter Biden and Buhle divorced in 2017.
A media representative for the former First Lady denies the accusations from Axios.
“The spokesperson, Crystal Carson, also told Axios that Michelle Obama fully supports Biden’s reelection campaign in 2024,” Newsweek described.
Michelle “is friends with Kathleen and with the Bidens. Two things can be true,” Carson stated.
The Biden White House also claimed that “the Biden and Obama families are like family to each other.”
A source familiar with private presidential conversations noted that former President Barack Obama has also expressed distaste toward the peculiar tumult of the Biden family.
As summarized by Breitbart: “After a fundraiser in the fall of 2017 for the Beau Biden Foundation, a children’s advocacy group, former President Obama privately described the Biden family dynamics at the fundraiser as “weird sh*t,” according to a person familiar with his remarks.”
Fox News commentator Marc Thiessen blasted the Obama-Biden family drama during a Thursday political panel.
“Hunter Biden left his wife, slept with his sister-in-law, who happened to be the widow of his dead brother,” he told Fox. “That is weird as you know what.”
“Who needs a soap opera when you have this story,” Fox anchor Martha MacCallum added.
