A Republican city councilman in an affluent Chicago suburb called out wealthy liberals who wanted to have a sanctuary city. Councilman Josh McBroom, of Naperville, offered to provide a sign-up sheet for liberals to house illegal aliens in their mansions. So far, no one has signed up. Watch the interview above.
“We are a deep, deep blue, affluent suburb,” McBroom said on the Todd Starnes Radio Show. “This is what people voted for. They voted for open borders. They advertise it in their front lawns with a sign that says ‘No human is illegal.'”
There is pressure on the Chicago suburbs to do their part to take care of thousands of illegal aliens who have been bussed and flown to the Windy City courtesy of Texas Gov. Greg Abbott.
In response, McBroom called on the rich, white liberals to “prove your virtue.”
“Here’s a signup sheet,” he told citizens at a recent council meeting. “There’s a lot of big homes. A lot of affluent individuals who support this policy (open borders).”
But so far not a single person has taken up the councilman’s recommendations.
“I don’t think we’ve had a single person that said, ‘Hey, where’s the sign up sheet? Where can I sign up,'” he said. “They don’t want it in their neighborhood.”
