A Seattle high school teacher is under investigation after he said the Oct. 7th massacre of Jewish women and children was justified.
Ari Hoffman, a talk show host at radio station KVI, reported on the tenth grade teacher at Chief Sealth International High School.

The American Jewish Committee issued a blistering statement to Hoffman, denouncing the teacher.
“It is abhorrent that the chair of social studies at Chief Sealth International High School would make horrific and inflammatory comments about Israel and do so with his class present,” they wrote in a statement.
The American Jewish Committee told Hoffman that it’s not the first time the teacher had made such statements.
They accused the teacher of fostering “an environment in school where students and faculty are intimidated into silence. If Seattle Public Schools are truly committed to combating antisemitism and other forms of hate, it must first ensure its classrooms are places for education, not indoctrination, especially from an instructor who celebrates the murder of innocent civilians.”

“While our review is in process, we will not comment on personnel matters related to this topic. Creating high-quality and inclusive educational environments for our students is a top priority for SPS. SPS does not tolerate Antisemitic or Islamophobic speech or acts in our schools or offices,” the district told television station KOMO.
Randy Kessler, the regional director of StandWithUs Northwest, said it’s not the first time that there have been issues with antisemitism within the taxpayer-funded school district.
“We have seen a sharp rise in reported incidents of teachers using their position of authority to indoctrinate students from the classroom, particularly since the Hamas massacre on October 7th,” he told the television station. “In one case, a second grade teacher in Shoreline instructed her students to make posters saying ‘Free Palestine.’
“In addition, the Seattle Education Association has a long history of extreme anti-Israel activism. These actions frighten many Jewish families, for whom connection to the land and people of Israel is an essential part of their Jewish identity,” Kessler added.
