Texas Hospitals Urging Mexicans to Have Babies in USA
President Trump blasted the Supreme Court’s birthright citizenship ruling Wednesday, warning that the justices “will destroy America if they don’t change their absolutely insane decision” after reports surfaced that a Texas hospital had advertised maternity packages to expectant mothers in Mexico.
Trump also wrote on Truth Social, “AMERICAN CITIZENSHIP IS NOT FOR SALE!” and said he would ask the Supreme Court for an immediate rehearing, Reuters reported.

The president’s outrage comes amid growing fury over allegations that Mission Regional Medical Center in South Texas promoted “birth packages” to foreign nationals — a practice critics say amounts to taxpayer-supported birth tourism.
Texas Gov. Greg Abbott ordered the Texas Health and Human Services Commission to investigate Mission Regional Medical Center, saying reports show the hospital targeted foreign nationals with “birth packages in South Texas” in an effort to profit from birth tourism.
Abbott said birth tourism “exploits the extraordinary hospitality that the United States and Texas offer,” and vowed Texas would not permit its health care system to become “a magnet for birth tourism.”
State Rep. Steve Toth, R-The Woodlands, told The Todd Starnes Radio Show that the allegations are not speculation.
“That is absolutely 100 percent true,” Toth said when asked if American hospitals were advertising maternity birth packages to foreign nationals. “You can look at the advertisements, the billboards that they’re putting in Mexico right now.”
Toth said the most infuriating part is that the hospitals accused of marketing those services receive public money.
“These are hospitals that have state funding. These are hospitals that have federal funding,” Toth said. “And so, yeah, for you to come here for a vaginal birth at for $3,500 for a C-section at $5,000. These are hospitals too that are using our taxpayer dollars to do this.”
MySA.com reported that the Mission Regional advertisements listed “Natural $3,950. C-Section $5,525,” along with a website, “havemybabyinTEXAS.com,” which had been taken down by Wednesday morning.
The hospital denied wrongdoing, saying it does “not support or facilitate any unlawful activity,” and said the marketing materials were no longer in use “due to any unintended misunderstanding.”
Toth said the issue is tied directly to the Supreme Court’s ruling protecting birthright citizenship.
“This was absolutely one of the greatest mistakes that John Roberts has ever hoisted on this country,” Toth said. “Now, Congress has got to get its ass in gear and get to work because we’ve been given the road map in this opinion on how to correct this.”
Toth warned the issue also raises national-security and election-integrity concerns.
“What if they sent a couple hundred thousand to Georgia?” Toth said. “What if they sent a couple hundred thousand to Detroit, Michigan and they flipped a purple state blue? They could do that very easily.”
“I’m just aghast at what the Supreme Court has done to us,” he told Starnes. “They should be ashamed of themselves.”
