There’s no doubt that President Trump loves Old Glory. He’s been known to literally embrace the flag on stage at campaign events.
And he recently installed two giant American flags on the north and south lawns of the White House.
But what he’s going to unfurl for America’s 250th birthday celebration could become the largest flag in the world.
Fox News reports that the America250 organization will create a flag that is expected to be taller than the Empire State Building – and nearly half the size of the Pentagon.
“Everything President Trump does is historic and larger than life,” America250 Executive Director Ari Abergel told Fox News Digital. “America250 will be no different, and we’re kicking things off by breaking a massive world record — creating the world’s largest American flag.”
For you math nerds out there – that’s 776 feet wide and 1,492 feet long. Those are going to be some very large stars and stripes.
According to Guinness World Records, the largest flag was made in Qatar in 2013. And the super-sized Old Glory is expected to far surpass that flag.
The flag so large it won’t be able to be unfurled on the Washington Mall. Instead, the flag may be relocated to either a NASCAR speedway or Lebanon, Kansas – the geographic center of the nation.
“The flag will be Made in America, and unfurled by hundreds of patriots in an extraordinary moment of national unity as part of America250,” Abergel told Fox News Digital.
The president recently signed an Executive Order that will punish anyone who burns Old Glory – leading to criticism from liberals and RINOs.
“They burn the American flag. They call it freedom of speech. When you burn a flag, the area goes crazy. If you have hundreds of people, they go crazy. You can do other things…but when you burn the American flag, it incites riots at levels we’ve never seen before,” the president said.
