A Florida retiree jumped into a pond to save his three-month-old puppy from an alligator.
“We were just out walking by the pond,” Richard Wilbanks told CNN, “and it came out of the water like a missile. I never thought an alligator could be that fast. It was so quick.”
The 74-year-old said adrenaline or instinct kicked in, and “I just automatically jumped into the water.”
Video shows Mr. Wilbanks jumping into the pond and fiercely fighting the gator — all the while smoking a cigar.
Gunner the puppy suffered a puncture wound, but is doing just fine.
Now, that’s what toxic masculinity looks like!
