There’s a well-regarded custom when it comes to behavior during the singing of the Star-Spangled Banner. Everyone stands at attention, hand over heart and gentlemen remove their hats.
You don’t scream or act like a fool. Clearly, someone forgot to tell NBA star LeBron James.
LeBron, a known Communist sympathizer, caused a firestorm of controversy after he shouted out “Let’s go” during the National Anthem. It was mighty disrespectful.
Earlier this month, James criticized Houston Rockets general manager Daryl Morey for expressing his support for the Hong Kong freedom fighters.
“Yes, we do have freedom of speech, but at times there are ramifications for the negative that can happen when you are not thinking about others and only thinking about yourself,” James told reporters. “I believe he wasn’t educated on the situation at hand and he spoke, and so many people could have been harmed not only financially but physically, emotionally, spiritually.”
So LeBron James honors the Communists, but disrespects Americans.
“If this was the Chinese anthem @KingJames would have showed the proper respect,” Dave Portnoy, the head of Barstool Sports, wrote on Twitter.
