You Have No Business Being a Parent Unless You Accept Your Child’s Declared Gender, Says Top Chef Host

If your child self identifies as a bird you should let your youngster jump off the roof of your house, according to the flawed logic of Top Chef host Padma Lakshmi.

Padma generated a social media frenzy when she lashed out at parents who believe God only makes little boys and little girls.

“If you can’t accept your child for who they’re telling you they are, then you have no business being a parent,” she wrote on Twitter.

Padma is the host of the popular Bravo television series Top Chef. Her message was posted on something called “Transgender Day of Visibility.”

She went on to lecture parents about the dozens and dozens of genders and gender identities in the world.

Gender expression can “vary day to day” she said.

That led many right-thinking moms and dads to ask what they should do if their child identifies as a horse or a shrubbery or a superhero.

“All of the bizarre false equivalency “what about-isms” or the litany of reasons why you feel people who are different from you don’t deserve basic human rights are not only deeply stupid, but painfully corny.” she wrote.

All you need to know about gender can be found in the second chapter of Genesis.
