Never underestimate the Republican Party’s ability to take delicious chicken salad and turn it into putrid chicken poop. That’s what’s happening in the U.S. Senate at this very minute.
Senate Republicans can’t muster a simple majority vote to pass President Trump’s rescissions package. And that’s really pathetic when you consider Republicans hold a 53-seat majority.

Senators are squabbling over whether to fund NPR, PBS and USAID — issues that an overwhelming number of Americans oppose.
Rep. Andy Biggs (R-AZ) tells me that as many as eight Republican senators are no votes. There are literally Republican senators who believe the taxpayers should continue funding the far-left propaganda spewing from NPR and PBS.
I asked the congressman to provide names of the renegade Republicans, but he declined to do so.
Rep. Keith Self (R-TX) said on my Newsmax show that the Senate needs to do its job. Watch the full interview below.
Senate Republicans seem determined to fund "Tickle Me, Ahmed" and the rest of the Muslim muppets on Iraq's Sesame Street. @RepKeithSelf warns that the House majority could be in grave jeopardy if GOP senators don't enforce the DOGE cuts. pic.twitter.com/mBoaDtV0nG

“This is promises made, promises kept,” he said. “President Trump campaigned on this.”
Instead, Senate Republicans would rather provide funding for “Tickle Me, Ahmed,” the Iraqi version of Sesame Street.
Republicans also can’t seem to muster the courage to defund $3 million for circumcisions, vasectomies, and condoms in Zambia or whack the $5.1 million in funding designated for global LGBT initiatives.
“Almost a million dollars for transgender people, sex workers, their clients, and sexual networks in Nepal,” the Republican congressman told me. “What in the world are we supporting a sexual network for?”
