Country Singer Taunts Tennessee Over Drag Queen Law: ‘F—ing Arrest Me’

Country music star Maren Morris told the state of Tennessee to arrest her for exposing her kid to drag queens.

Tennessee’s latest bills preventing gender mutilation surgeries on minors and preventing minors from attending drag queen shows have received backlash from many public figures, including Morris.

In protest, “The Middle” singer took to the stage at an LGBTQ+ benefit event at Nashville’s Bridgestone arena on Monday.

“And yes, I introduced my son to some drag queens today, so Tennessee f—ing arrest me,” Morris told the crowd.

Variety gave more details of Morris introducing her toddler to the drag queens before the event.

“I brought my son here earlier today for soundcheck,” Morris told the magazine, “and he’s turning 3 this week, and we got to go in the room where all the queens were getting ready and doing their makeup. And he freaked out when he went in there because it’s just magic what drag queens do.
