The following is a transcript of my opening monologue on Newsmax.
Hello Americans, I’m Todd Starnes. Thank you for watching. And I want you to listen closely. Hear that distant noise. It’s growing louder and louder. It’s a thundering herd of RINOs galloping through the halls of Congress.
There are rumblings that some Republican leaders are calling for tax increases. And others want to keep funding Planned Parenthood. Still others – are demanding that the White House provide due process for the illegal alien invaders. Republicans in name only, America. RINOs.

And I believe it’s time for some political big game hunting. Up first – North Carolina Senator Thom Tillis.
He’s the one responsible for ending the nomination of Ed Martin – President Trump’s pick to be the next U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia.
Trump pulled Martin’s nomination and replaced him with my friend Judge Jeanine Pirro. She will do a remarkable job.
Trump then announced that Martin would be working for the Justice Department – as the head of the Weaponization Working Group and Pardon Attorney.
That could come back to bite Tillis in his RINO backside.

Tillis was upset because Martin advocated for those convicted of attacking the U.S. Capitol in 2021. To be clear – I stand with Martin. To this day we still do not have a clear understanding of what happened on January 6, 2021. We don’t know the extent of the FBI’s involvement. Many questions not answered.
And Tillis wasn’t the only Republican senator waffling on Martin. Senator Ted Cruz – among others – artfully dodged when asked if they supported the president’s nominee. Same with John Cornyn and John Kennedy of Louisiana.
In 2026 Republicans voters in North Carolina will have an opportunity to make their party righteous again – to right a wrong. Senator Tillis is up for reelection. And he deserves to face a primary opponent. Tillis betrayed voters and he betrayed the America First movement. He embarrassed President Trump and the administration. Voters have a chance to send a message to the rest of the Senate RINOs that we will no longer tolerate cowardice traitors in the halls of Congress. Those days are long gone.
As for now – Majority Leader John Thune should remove Tillis from the Senate Judiciary Committee. And the North Carolina Republican Party should take immediate steps to censure their senior senator.
By the way – one political poll has Tillis with a 25 percent approval rating in North Carolina. That tells me – the senator’s days in Congress may very well be nearing an end.
And let this be a warning to every Republican lawmaker – do not obstruct President Trump’s agenda.
