‘Pronouns Do Not Kill Children’: CNN Analyst Says Killer’s ID ‘Distraction’

A CNN guest placed blame on guns and said “pronouns do not kill children” in reference to the Nashville Christian school mass shooting Monday.

CNN This Morning” host Don Lemon was discussing the tragic situation involving 28-year-old Audrey Hale, a biological female, who identified as a man.

Is the media going to stop covering the Nashville massacre because the shooter is transgender?

Lemon lectured the police for “misidentifying” Hale, who he said is really a “trans man.”

“I’m just wondering, the identity being a transgender person and also being identified as a woman,” Lemon said, “does this pose any certain difference or difficulty for police because it’s not typically a woman, regardless of how they’re identifying, so there are a couple of things here that are different and that we’re going to have to talk about and delve into.”

CNN National Security Analyst Juliette Kayyem answered Lemon by placing the blame on guns rather than the actual criminal.

‘Hate Has Consequences’: Radical Trans Group Calls Nashville Killer Victim

“We don’t own guns in this country,” she said, “guns own us at this stage.”

She went on to talk about the shooter, who killed three children and three adults, and how all of the mass shootings have one common factor: guns.

“Pronouns do not kill children, people with guns kill children,” she continued, “and it’s going to be a distraction in our coverage and keep us from what we now know, which is that each of these cases has a similarity more than any difference.”
