Todd Starnes Show Recap: July 12
The Todd Starnes Show had an all-star line up on Wednesday's show which airs Monday through Friday 12-3 PM EST live on toddstarnes.com!
12:06 PM Todd Starnes Monologue: RUSSIA, RUSSIA, RUSSIA….Donald Trump Jr. Edition
"Don't tread on me, you Trump-hating haters!...This entire thing is a farce designed to take down a Republican administration!" Todd said about the hype surrounding the Trump Jr. emails.
If Kushner or Trump Jr., or anyone in the administration committed a crime, they should be held accountable to the fullest extent, but so far no crime has been committed. And, as for transparency, the Trump administration needs to be fully transparent. I had the same problem with the Obama administration.
My colleague at Fox News, Sean Hannity conducted an excellent interview with Donald Trump Jr. Monday night.
12:34 PM Pete Hoekstra, Former Chairman House Intelligence Committee
"This is the biggest nothing story out there...There was so little evidence...that Obama decided to do nothing" on Russia. "There is no evidence of collusion out there." You would think what happened in 2016 was World War III...They're trying to undermine the president so that if and when they remove the president, the public will not support Republicans. Republicans are weakening Trump's presidency and, in so doing, weakening themselves - something Democrats never do.
1:20 PM Rob Taub, Radio host , political pundit Huffington Post contributor
Rob Taub was the first liberal guest on the show. He said he doesn't support Trump or like him, but he believes Republicans need to stop coming so quick to his defense and the Left needs to let the process take place before jumping to judgment.
1:38 PM Charles Hurt, Fox News Contributor, Columnist for the Washington Times & Breitbart
Donald Trump Jr.'s meeting was probably "stupid," but part of the Trump appeal is that they're not "seasoned" politicians. "Treason is something for which people are executed ... selling out the government or raising an army to destroy the government, none of which happened here." Trump Derangement Syndrome is on display here. "Nobody in Congress is going to raise a finger to help [Trump]." Trump didn't just beat Democrats in 2016, he beat Republicans as well. "I don't think Republicans have an end game" given they had no plan to repeal and replace ObamaCare. "I think Democrats' endgame is they want to destroy everything that is great about America." If someone wanted to destroy everything that is great about America, they'd be doing what the Democrats are doing.
2:10 PM Dr. Robert Jeffress, Pastor at First Baptist Dallas
Dr. Jeffress talked about praying for President Trump in the Oval Office. "It's a sad day in America when people disparage prayer for the president." Jeffress said he is happy that Trump invites people to pray for him and that, although he is a successful businessman, he recognizes he can't do what he does without God's help.
2:20 PM Tim Wildmon, President of American Family Association (AFA) and American Family Radio (AFR):
The American Family Association is celebrating 40 years. "We stand for what God stands for, and we stand against what God stands against," Wildmon said. AFA has had more than one million Americans sign a petition to boycott Target until they reconsider their bathroom and dressing room policies.
