Tony Perkins, the president of the Family Research Council, told the “Todd Starnes Show” on Wednesday that there is an “all-out effort” by big tech and the media to silence conservatives prior to the 2020 presidential election.
Perkins illustrated his argument by pointing to an initiative by his organization that was launched three weeks ago called Pray, Vote, Stand, which is an effort to inform voters about the candidates. He described the program as a weekly 30-minute broadcast that helps equip followers to be more informed voters by November.

He said by the second week—just before a text message was about to alert followers about the program—he was informed by a vendor that a three-year subscription was ending.
“They were canceling us,” he said.
He said the cancelation is yet another example that big tech companies are working to silence conservatives in the media and are willing to weaponize their platforms.

“The reason that part of it is getting ugly is that people are realizing that it is time to stand up and to refuse to be censored by the left,” he said.
Perkins told Todd Starnes, the host of the program, that he changed vendors and said the program will be back up Wednesday on Prayvotestand.org at 8 p.m. ET.
Perkins said Americans should begin to inquire why the left and their allies in big tech are so willing to stifle opposing views. He said big tech is being driven by the “same lawlessness” that is raging in the streets. These rioters have no interest in dialogue or conversation, they are looking to destroy and impose their worldview.
“Why can we not have opposing views?” he asked.
He said these tech companies are even willing to severe business ties with organizations with ties to Christianity.
Starnes, the author of “Culture Jihad: How to Stop the Left from Killing a Nation,” said the bombshell Atlantic article about President Trump’s alleged disparaging comments about U.S. troops is the opening salvo for the coming onslaught from the left.
Perkins said the only way to respond is to spread the word about conservative thought and said Starnes and other influential conservatives in the media play an important role in that counter punch.
