A video has surfaced of a driver doing donuts on a busy roadway with passengers hanging out the window in downtown Memphis. Meanwhile, police just watched and did nothing to intervene.

The incident took place at the intersection of Ida B. Wells and Gayoso over the weekend.
“This is out of control,” Christie Fuller, a local, told Fox 13 Memphis.
This isn’t the first time Memphians have seen out-of-control drivers take over intersections or interstates.

The community member told the station the actions of the driver endangered others’ lives on Sunday night, and she criticized the lack of intervention by the officers.
“The police didn’t do their job,” Fuller added.
But national radio host and Memphis native Todd Starnes disagrees.
“Clearly, the officers have been ordered to stand down,” Starnes said. “Our city is controlled by soft-on-crime progressives. They treat police officers like they are criminals.”
Imagine what would have happened if the officers had stopped the motorist from doing donuts, Starnes said.
“You would’ve had Ben Crump on the evening news shouting about racism,” he said. “The officers are caught in the middle of an unwinnable situation.”
