DEVELOPING STORY: At least 18 people are dead after a gunman went on a shooting rampage Wednesday night in Lewiston, Maine.
Police are searching for Robert Card and residents were advised to consider him armed and dangerous.
Sources said he also has a mental health history, including a two-week stay this summer at a mental health facility after he allegedly made threats about carrying out a shooting at a National Guard facility.
Meanwhile, Maine’s third largest city and several other nearby towns are under an emergency lockdown.
Resident Don Dostie said he and his family are “locked and loaded.”
“If any of these shooters come near my house, I’m not going to ask how they are doing,” he said.
