An SEC filing Thursday revealed that the Tesla and SpaceX CEO secured another $7 billion from investors to buy the Big Tech company.
Once Musk completes his $44 billion takeover of Twitter, he is going to replace Twitter’s current CEO Parag Agrawal who stepped in after founder Jack Dorsey stepped down.
“Once the deal closes, we don’t know which direction the platform will go,” Agrawal told employees last month during a company-wide town hall.
Musk said he wants to make Twitter a bastion of free speech for as many people as possible.
