Christian rapper Lecrae got called out on Twitter after he claimed he wasn’t progressive or liberal.

The “Blessings” singer tweeted the following Thursday:
I’m not progressive.
I’m not liberal.
I’m not conservative.
I’m Kingdom.
“Let Us Worship” founder Sean Feucht replied, “Really????” with a photo of Lecrae and Democrat Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams, who said she supports abortion as a “person of faith.”

Lecrae responded Friday.
“Hey I’ll be the first to admit I didn’t know her stances,” Lecrae said. “I did know that my daughter needed to see representation of herself in society. Now would I trade unbiblical views for representation, no. If you didn’t grow up without healthy representation you prob wouldn’t understand.”

Then he added, “That was also 4 years ago. I’d hate to think people aren’t allowed change their views. One thing I can say for myself I live by my views. They may change but when I believe it I’m all in.”

When Lecrae originally posted the photo he wrote a caption to Abrams, stating that his daughter “looks up to you and she’s 9. Not because she’s familiar with your stances and policies, but because you’re a highly educated woman of color who fights for what she believes in despite opposition. She see that she can be more than what society says. Thank you.”
Former Hillsong NYC Pastor Carl Lentz replied, at the time, “Amazing! Women like this, I point my daughters to as well! God bless her. And you Lecrae …Love you my brother!!”
