Hello Americans, I’m Todd Starnes. Stand by for news and commentary next.

Kevin McCarthy – the leader of the House Republicans – is two-faced. Not much of a surprise, seeing how he’s a professional politician. But it’s disappointing and sad nevertheless.

A new book written by a pair of New York Times reporters – contains explosive allegations that McCarthy told Congresswoman Liz Cheney that he planned to urge President Trump to resign over the Capitol riot.

McCarthy issued a strong denial. That was on Thursday.

By Thursday night – the book authors had released an audio recording of the conversation — proving that McCarthy lied.

False and wrong – those were his words.

I wonder what else Mr. McCarthy said – behind closed doors.

Well, we could soon find out – because reporters Jonathan Martin and Alex Burns say they have a lot more on tape.

The fact that Republicans are not demanding that Mr. McCarthy step down from leadership just shows you how bad the moral rot has become within the highest echelons of the Republican Party.
