Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) announced Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) “agreed” to debate the Green New Deal.

The conservative lawmaker posted a photo of her and the far-left representative on the floor of Congress Wednesday.

“I’m glad I ran into you today @AOC to plan our debate about the Green New Deal,” Green wrote. “After I finish reading all 14 pages, like we agreed, I’ll schedule time for our debate. #MTGvsAOC”

Thursday morning, the Georgia congresswoman said she read the “14 page Communists manifesto,” adding: “Looking forward to debating you.”

Ocasio-Cortez nor her office have confirmed the debate.

Earlier this month, Greene challenged her to a live, televised debate.

“Since you sponsored the Green New Deal and have a degree in Economics, I’m sure you are more than qualified,” Greene said. “I just have a degree in Business Admin and have owned a construction company for 20 years.”

Greene suggested a pay-per-view format to split the money raised “for our choosing of where it goes.”

The conservative firebrand tweeted out a few talking points she might use in the debate, praising former President Trump and slamming Biden and AOC.
