One of the books even described a “sexually-mature” 6-year-old boy participating in sex acts.
Sequoia High School’s library media specialist Betsy Snow proudly posted the books on Instagram and TikTok as a part of “Banned Books This Week” to celebrate controversial books that have been challenged by parents across the country.

The story features a 6-year-old boy who recalls giving oral sex to friends in his neighborhood.
“I was sexually mature,” the young boy says in the book. “What I mean by sexually mature is that I knew about sex. From six and up, I used to kiss other guys in my neighborhood, make out with them, and perform oral sex on them. I liked it. I used to love oral. And I touched their you-know-whats. We were really young, but that’s what we did.”

“Saunas, or ‘bath houses,’ are dotted all over the country, and they are perfectly legal,” the book tells students. “People (many saunas run lesbian nights) pay some money to enter and then have a bit of a sauna and some random sex. Again, this is fine as long as you’re safe.”
Several more books with similar content were shown in the display.
The school district, principal and library employee all declined when Fox reached out to them for comment on the situation.
