Amid a reported rift between President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, it appears First Lady Dr. Jill Biden still hates his running mate.
Their relationship began to sour when the first lady told donors Harris can “go f–k herself” during the primaries after the former California Senator attacked Biden on busing and segregation.
On Sunday night, CNN published a lengthy hit piece on Harris from “nearly three dozen former and current Harris aides, administration officials, Democratic operatives, donors and outside advisers.”
National radio host Todd Starnes responded to the CNN story, commenting it “sounds like Jill Biden wants to make sure Dems won’t give her husband the heave-ho before the end of his term.”
John Cardillo tweeted: “If you’ve been paying attention, the mutual Jill Biden/Kamala Harris hatred goes back to the beginning of the campaign. The new revelations aren’t surprising.”
Another person added: “Who hates Kamala more – her staff, Jill Biden, or the American people?”
White House press secretary Jen Psaki tried to clean up the mess Sunday night in a tweet:
“For anyone who needs to hear it. [Harris] is not only a vital partner to [Biden] but a bold leader who has taken on key, important challenges facing the country—from voting rights to addressing root causes of migration to expanding broadband,” Psaki said.
But even a longtime Biden confidant, former Democratic Connecticut Sen. Chris Dodd, who helped Biden pick Harris, told the New York Times Friday that the president may not run in 2024.
“I’m hoping the president runs for reelection,” Dodd stated, “but for whatever reason that might not be the case, it’s hard to believe there would be a short list without Kamala’s name on it. She’s the vice president of the United States.”
With Harris polling worse than Biden, the Democrats could be in big trouble come 2024.
