The Justice Department refused to protect the Supreme Court justices against angry Leftists, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) said on the Todd Starnes Show.

STARNES: [01:38:30] So, look, Congressman, I don’t know if you heard this audio. Josh Hawley earlier today was grilling someone up on Capitol Hill about what it means to be a woman. I want you to listen to this. I want to get your reaction. [01:38:45][15.1]

SEN. JOSH HAWLEY (R-MO): [01:38:49] I just want to clear one thing up. Professor Bridges, you said several times, you’ve used a phrase. I want to make sure I understand what you mean by it. You’ve referred to people with a capacity for pregnancy. Would that be women? [01:39:00][10.7]
BRIDGES: [01:39:03] Many women, cis-women have the capacity for pregnancy. Many cis-women do not have the capacity for pregnancy. There are also trans men who are capable of pregnancy, as well as non-binary people who are capable of pregnancy. [01:39:13][10.3]
SEN. JOSH HAWLEY (R-MO): [01:39:14] So this isn’t really a women’s rights issue. [01:39:16][2.1]
BRIDGES: [01:39:17] We can recognize that this impacts women while also recognizing that it impacts other groups. Those things are not mutually exclusive, Sen. Hawley [01:39:23][5.9]

SEN. JOSH HAWLEY (R-MO): [01:39:24] So your view is that the core of this, this right then is about what? [01:39:29][5.1]
BRIDGES: [01:39:30] So I want to recognize that your line of questioning is transphobic and it opens up trans people to violence. [01:39:38][7.2]
STARNES: [01:39:40] Ok, enough of that. Congressman, I want to get your reaction to what just happened up on Capitol Hill. [01:39:44][4.0]
JORDAN: [01:39:45] Well, it’s today’s left, you know, this happened about a month ago. One of my good friends and colleagues, Congressman Bishop, asked the question of a Democrat witness the simple question, can men get pregnant? And she said, yes. So, I mean, this is where today’s left is. In fact, they’ve written it into the legislation. They’re going to do this with the Democrats in the House. They list all those terms that that witness was talking about and some others in the letter. I don’t have in front of me. [01:40:10][25.3]
STARNES: [01:40:13] I’ve got it. I’ve got it right here, Congressman. I’m going to read it. Yeah, the act is intended to protect all people with the capacity for pregnancy: transgender men, cisgender women, non-binary individuals, those who identify with a different gender, and others. What!? [01:40:29][16.2]
JORDAN: [01:40:31] Yeah. No, it’s today’s left in. Like, 99% of the country thinks that it’s just ridiculous just like the vast, vast majority of the country thought that men should compete against men in sports, women should compete against women. And that, you know, Lia Thomas not swimming against women in collegiate swim meets. It’s just common sense, but today’s left doesn’t, today’s left wants to just fundamentally change the country. [01:41:01][30.1]
STARNES: [01:41:01] Congressman, another very serious issue. Not a lot of people talking about these attacks on churches and crisis pregnancy centers. You have three churches in Bethesda, Maryland that were attacked. Nobody’s talking about this except for the conservatives. [01:41:15][13.9]
JORDAN: [01:41:17] Yeah, well the left not going to, you know, the left during the summer 2020, they called all the rioters and looters peaceful protesters. So they’re not going to do it, particularly with the pulse of the situation. But you’re right, I think it’s like 30 some different crisis pregnancy centers and churches over the last couple months have been attacked. And this is, if there was ever really a need for, you know, this Justice Department to announce a domestic terrorism thing designed to go after, I think, you know, all kinds of people like moms had to show up at school board meetings, but they should be looking at this situation. This looks like domestic terrorism because it’s multiple groups, and it looks like they’re coordinating these systematic attacks on pro-life people and on places of worship. It is as long as it gets, but it shouldn’t surprise us. Remember back during about a year and a half ago, you know, back during the virus, de Blasio said that, you know, if you go to church or synagogue, that they’re going to come get you. And it’s like, this is frightening stuff, but it’s again, it’s just where the left is. [01:42:27][69.8]

STARNES: [01:42:29] It is. And it’s not going to stop. I mean, you know, the president has yet to condemn the attempted assassination of the Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh. You had the transportation secretary, Pete Buttigieg, he refused to condemn the protesters that infiltrated the Morton Steakhouse, there in D.C. They’re just giving a wink and a nod to these people. [01:42:52][23.6]
JORDAN: [01:42:53] Yeah. And also, remember, Speaker Pelosi waited four weeks on legislation that would give protection to Supreme Court Justices’ families. This after the attempt on Justice Kavanaugh, after these groups that I mentioned a little bit ago had posted online where Justice Coney Barrett’s children attend school, where their family goes to church. I mean, this is scary stuff and you have a specific statute. So, look, I’m for the First Amendment 100%, and I’m scared about what the left will do to people they disagree with. We’ve seen it with their disinformation, government support and everything else. But you get a specific statute that says if people are protesting a Supreme Court Justice’s home trying to impact a decision, which is exactly what they were doing because they started this after the draft opinion was leaked a few months ago, directly on point on that statute. And here you have the Justice Department refusing to do anything. But meanwhile, Todd, they’re going after parents. Think about the attack on families. So these left wing organizations initially said, oh, you know, a year and a half ago, we’re not gonna let your kids go to school. When they finally open the schools back up, they said, Now we’re going to teach your kids CRT. And if you’re a mom or dad who shows up at a school board meeting to express concerns about that, they treat you as domestic terrorists and the FBI investigates you. That all happened. That is exactly what happens. So they’re willing to do that to their political opposition, but not willing to enforce a statute when it’s directly being violated in an attempt to influence the court and intimidate the court. [01:44:19][85.7]
STARNES: [01:44:19] You know, it reminds me years ago, Congressman, you might remember this, when Lois Lerner and the IRS weaponized. I was caught up in all that. A number of my colleagues at Fox and even Billy Graham, they audited Billy Graham, America’s pastor. These people are ruthless. [01:44:36][17.1]
JORDAN: [01:44:38] Yeah, the IRS targeting conservatives like you and your listeners around the country. Then the FBI spied on President Trump’s campaign. The DOJ is now targeting moms and dads simply concerned about, you know, this crazy curriculum that some schools are teaching children. And yet you have a direct violation of a statute and they refuse to enforce the law. So it’s sad, but it’s why I think the American people are going to make a big change. And it’s why, frankly, Joe Biden’s approval ratings are in the thirties and 90% of the country thinks we’re headed in the wrong direction. And they think that because it’s true. [01:45:13][35.6]
STARNES: [01:45:14] No, you’re right. And by the way, congressman Jim Jordan, folks on the Patriot Mobile Newsmaker Line. Congressman, just a few moments ago we had Miranda Devine, the New York Post writer who exposed Hunter Biden’s laptop story. And a few days before that, we had Congressman Comer on. He’s saying there are going to be hearings if the Republicans can retake the House. Can you verify that? [01:45:36][21.8]
JORDAN: [01:45:37] Yeah, I think that he’ll be taking the lead on that. And they want to look at that because I mean, think about this. The most recent thing you have the president of the United States, President Biden, going and tapping into the Strategic Petroleum Reserve. So tapping into that which is supposed to be for like a really huge emergency tap into that. He’s selling it then to China and they sold it to a company where Hunter Biden previously had maybe had a financial interest in it. So that is wrong on all three counts. Going into the strategic reserve and then, I mean, selling it to China, our biggest adversary. And then, of course to a company where his son has an interest, but I mean this all needs to be looked and Congressman Comer is committed to doing it. [01:46:25][48.1]
