The “Lets go Brandon” chant that has replaced “F– Joe Biden” at many public events has gone viral — but the White House claims ignorance of it.
The Washington Post reported the Biden administration officials have “sought to downplay the phenomenon, and at least one claimed to be unfamiliar with the ‘Let’s go Brandon’ chant or its cruder cousin, though they are now chanted everywhere from football stadiums to concert arenas to local bars.”
White House spokesman Andrew Bates told The Post he had not seen it until the reporter brought it to his attention.
“I had never heard of that chant until you explained it to me,” Bates said. “I guess I’m not spending enough time on 8chan or whatever,”
Donald Trump Jr. responded to the allegation, writing: “If they’re not familiar, let’s keep it going until they are.”
