“Our Rights Are Gone if Trump is Not Reelected,” Rep. Burchett says
Rep. Tim Burchett, R-Tenn., told the “Todd Starnes Radio Show” Monday that it is imperative that President Trump gets reelected in 2020 because he will continue to hold corrupt bureaucrats to the fire and the alternative would be handing the country over to the left in the Democrat party.
Burchett said that Trump may come off as gruff and brash, but he said the president “tells it like it is and he follows through.”
“Let me tell you, if he gets that fifth year in there, the swamp will get drained,” he said. Burchett pointed to the alleged corruption in the State Department and “career bureaucrats that wreck our lives daily.”

“They are going to be in trouble and they know it, and they are squirming,” he said. “Our rights are gone if he loses this election.”
Todd Starnes, the host of the program, agreed and called this election cycle “vitally important” and predicted an “all-out war between now and November.”
The early stages of the war are beginning to emerge. Former President Barack Obama, hot off multi-million dollar book and Netflix deals, has spoken out against the Trump administration’s coronavirus response. Hillary Clinton, who Trump defeated in 2016, also criticized his recent decision to fire State Department watchdog, Steve Linick.
Trump’s coronavirus response will likely take center stage during the 2020 election despite his record-setting economy just weeks prior to the virus outbreak. Joe Biden, his likely opponent, appears not to be as formidable a challenger as Clinton, and had his own difficulties of resonating with voters in an age of YouTube campaigning. He is prone to verbal gaffes and was the subject of sexual assault allegations, which he denied.
Trump fired back at Obama over his alleged role in the Russia collusion investigation and said over the weekend that his predecessor was an “incompetent President. That’s all I can say. Grossly incompetent.”
Trump has claimed that Democrats who run blue states have been dragging their feet in their reopenings in order to damage his campaign. He provided no evidence of such a tactic, but if the economy comes roaring back by October and the virus is under control, it does not take much intelligence to recognize that Trump would almost be a shoo-in.
Burchett pointed to the lockdown restrictions and how states infringed on civil liberties and said, “our rights are gone if Trump doesn’t get elected, and it’s no kidding matter.”
