Former President Trump received a booming welcome as he hosted and commentated on a boxing match on the anniversary of 9/11.
Ahead of Evander Holyfield’s first-round knockout against Vitor Belfort, fans at the Seminole Hard Rock casino in Hollywood, Florida, chanted “we love Trump!” and even held up a “Trump 2024” banner.
Trump stood up and lifted a fist in the air to thank all the supporters.
“Thank you very much, everybody,” Trump said. “Thank you. This is an honor to be with you and what a great evening…”
When the crowd kept chanting, Trump said it was a “great honor,” adding, “We love our country. Thank you very much.”
Trump was joined by his son, Donald Trump Jr., and others while hosting the big fight. Earlier in the day, Trump surprised police and firefighters in New York City to commemorate the 20th anniversary of September 11, 2001.
