Somewhere in the nation lurks a very bad person — someone who mailed suspicious packages to President Obama, President Clinton and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and CNN. Just the other day George Soros reportedly received a similar package.
The FBI has not named a suspect or provided a motive. But whoever is responsible must be punished to the fullest extent of the law.
The White House has condemned the attacks.
“We condemn the attempted violent attacks recently made against President Obama, President Clinton, Secretary Clinton, and other public figures. These terrorizing acts are despicable, and anyone responsible will be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law. The United States Secret Service and other law enforcement agencies are investigating and will take all appropriate actions to protect anyone threatened by these cowards,” White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders said.
We condemn the attempted attacks against fmr Pres Obama, the Clintons, @CNN & others. These cowardly actions are despicable & have no place in this Country. Grateful for swift response of @SecretService, @FBI & local law enforcement. Those responsible will be brought to justice.

Those behind such reprehensible acts must be brought to justice. We cannot tolerate any attempt to terrorize public figures. I am grateful to the @SecretService, Capitol Police, and all law enforcement who guard against these threats. https://t.co/HUQQxynU9h

Folks, this is absolute evil. The nation is literally unraveling. And it’s beyond time to tell the mob to stand down.
Senator Rand Paul – himself the victim of a politically motivated beating – implored the nation to tone down the rhetoric.
He warned that we were fast approaching a very dangerous place – where someone just might get assassinated.
It was not that long ago that a leftist opened fire on Republicans at a baseball field — nearly killing Rep. Steve Scalise.
In 2013 a security guard stopped what many believe would have been a massacre at Family Research Council headquarters in New York. The gunman was apprehended but not before seriously wounding the security guard.
Enough is enough. The political hate, the badgering and the bullying, the rampaging protests, the violent mobs — it must stop.
Lawmakers and political pundits must be called out for telling their followers to harass people in restaurants and grocery stores – just because of their political ideology.
We must not give to those who want to divide us based on our skin color or our politics or our religious beliefs.
We are Americans. We are better than this.
