Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell was accosted Friday night by a rampaging mob of leftists thugs at a popular Cuban restaurant in Louisville, Kentucky.
McConnell and his wife, Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao were eating dinner at Havana Rumba when they were set upon by the mob.
The most disturbing part of the incident was captured on a video acquired by TMZ.
The video shows an unidentified man screaming at the senator and his wife while other diners hollered at the man to leave the restaurant.
Eyewitnesses told the Courier Journal that the man flailed his arms at the couple and then stole McConnell’s to-go box and dumped it outside the restaurant.

In another incident the couple were accosted by a female protester who shrieked that McConnell was a “traitor.” Other protestors clapped and cheered, the Courier Journal reported.
However, the TMZ video also shows a number of patrons coming to the defense of McConnell and his wife.
“Leave him alone,” people at a nearby table shouted.
The video also shows at least two men rushing over and putting themselves between the unhinged leftwing lunatic and the McConnells.
The Majority Leader’s spokesman issued a statement thanking “those who spoke up against incivility.”
“They hope other patrons weren’t too inconvenienced by the left-wing tantrums,” spokesman Robert Steurer said. “As the Leader often says, the Senate will not be intimidated by the antics of far-left protesters.”
Havana Rumba’s management posted a message on Facebook expressing their deep regret in what happened.
“We deeply regret the incident that took place at our restaurant this weekend. We strongly believe everyone should feel welcome and safe in our restaurants. It was Friday night in the middle of the rush and our staff was caught off guard as the incident developed quickly. Once we were aware of the situation we acted quickly and efficiently to assure that everyone was safe. For 14 years, we have properly handled every situation that has arisen with no complaints of any kind. We will continue to do so, training our staff and management better. Havana Rumba has always been a welcoming place to all who want to enjoy delicious Cuban cuisine and we are committed to continue bringing that to our Louisville community.”
Remember the marching orders delivered by Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA).
She ordered her army of minions to target conservatives — to get their faces — whether it be at a grocery store or a restaurant.
So, where was McConnell’s security detail? That man was clearly enraged and the situation could’ve turned incredibly ugly. It’s imperative we provide protection for our elected leaders and their families.
We must be civil, but not silent.
