THE FIRST HOUR OF THE TODD STARNES SHOW
12:05pm- Crazy Talk! Vice President Mike Pence’s Christian faith was mocked on ABC’s “The View” on Tuesday as the co-hosts mulled his relationship with Jesus Christ. Omarosa Manigault-Newman, President Trump’s disgruntled ex-staffer, used her status as a “Celebrity Big Brother” contestant this week to insinuate that the vice president suffers from mental illness. The claim — “he thinks Jesus tells him to say things … Scary” — served as fodder for jokes by ABC’s Joy Behar. “It’s one thing to talk to Jesus. It’s another thing when Jesus talks to you. That’s called mental illness if I’m not correct. Hearing voices,” she said.
12:30pm– On The Defense! A Southern California teacher and councilman who sparked national outcry after saying that American troops are “the lowest of our low,” is refusing to resign from his post. On Tuesday, the Pico Rivera City Council passed a resolution calling for Gregory Salcido’s resignation. Before the vote, dozens of veterans, teachers and former students in the southeastern Los Angeles County community rallied outside the building and took the podium slamming Salcido for nearly three hours. “How dare have you not resigned?” a woman asked Salcido. In his first public appearance since the incident, Salcido said he and his family have received multiple death threats and apologized to the community. But he said the comments attributed to him were “definitely taken out of context.” “If this situation caused a problem, I certainly do apologize for it,” Salcido said at Tuesday’s council meeting. “If anything I’ve said has hurt somebody it was unintentional.”

2:30pm- Get Hitched Please! Our next guest writes, “Of the many things that millennials find themselves doing, saying “I do” and starting a family does not seem to be one of them. A 2014 Pew Research study found that the average age range that millennials tied the knot was in their late 20s. Women aren’t getting married until 27, while men are waiting until 29. Your grandparents’ generation? They got married by 25 or younger. But what isn’t included in this study is the number of millennials who are moving in together without getting married. While many would argue that is “preparing for marriage” or “discovering your sexual compatibility,” there are numerous consequences of cohabitating which endanger society as a whole. This is bad. Really, really, really bad.” Guest: Jeremiah Poff, journalist for the College Fix.
