BREAKING: Texas Governor Says Gunman is 18-year-old
Salvador Ramos, 18, was named as the suspect of Tuesday’s mass shooting at Robb Elementary in Uvalde that left 15 people dead, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott said.
“The shooter is no longer alive,” Abbott said. “The shooter was Salvador Ramos, an 18-year-old male who resided in Uvalde.”
The governor said Ramos is a U.S. citizen and student at Uvalde High School who was shot by responding officers.
Hey may have shot his grandmother before going to the school, Abbott said.
ABC News reported that the shooting took place inside the school.
The gunman abandoned his car before entering the school and opening fire, Abbott said.
The motive is under investigation.
