Mexico Hit by Tsunami, 7.6 Magnitude Earthquake

A tsunami alert was issued just after a 7.6 magnitude earthquake struck the coast of Mexico, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The earthquake struck off the coast of La Placita de Morelos in western Mexico in the Pacific Ocean, USCS reports.

The U.S. Tsunami Warning System issued an alert warning that a tsunami is possible along the coast of Michoacan, Mexico.
