Rep. Jim Jordan Lays Out 8 Different Lies from Jan. 6 Committee

The House Jan. 6 select committee has lied eight times against former President Trump and conservative members of Congress, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) said on the Todd Starnes Show.

The conservative congressman from Ohio told host Todd Starnes that at least two of them were against him.

“They lied about Bernie Kerik’s travels. They lied about Barry Loudermilk, a colleague of mine. They lied about the tours he gave to constituents. They lied about Jenna Ellis’s documents. They lied about Eric Hersman, White House lawyer. They lied about the note written, Cassidy Hutchinson said she wrote it. Another person said, ‘no, no. I actually wrote that note.’ They lied about the Secret Service. We’ve had Secret Service come forward and say that what she testified to was not accurate. And they lied about me twice,” Jordan said.

Is the Jan. 6 committee a joke?

“They lied about a text message I had forwarded to the White House chief of staff,” he added. “They said it was from me, a member of Congress when it wasn’t, and I had forwarded it from a respected lawyer, former inspector general or Don Rumsfeld. And they also took a video with me where I was on Fox News talking and I was on Maria Bartiromo’s show. And the video clip started off with me saying January 6 is the ultimate date of significance in a presidential contest. What they left off was the sentence right before that, where I said the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg said that January six is the ultimate date of significance in a presidential contest because that’s when you actually approve the electors, and that changes the entire context of that statement. So we saw that, and then, of course, maybe the most important was when Zoe Lofgren, a member of committee, said, we don’t corroborate with witnesses testimony. And they didn’t ask Pat Cipollone when he was deposed if what Cassidy Hutchinson said about him was true. And his lawyer reported afterwards that if he had been asked, he’d have said it wasn’t. So that’s eight different false things we’ve gotten from this committee. And, Todd, we don’t get to see the evidence. We don’t get to sit in on the depositions. We don’t get access to the transcripts, the video, the documents they have. We don’t get to cross-examine. And so imagine how many other lies they’ve told the American people if we’ve caught him in eight, with that limited amount of evidence that we get to see.”

TODD STARNES: [00:59:13] I do want to go to the Patriot Mobile Newsmaker Line, our good friend from the great state of Ohio, Congressman Jim Jordan, joins us. Congressman, I guess if you’re a white guy, you’re not welcome at the State Department. [00:59:26][12.5]

REP. JIM JORDAN (R-OH): [00:59:27] Yeah. no need to apply, I guess, wow, I didn’t realize that is pretty darn interesting. But again, with the political nature of this entire administration, you know, we’ve seen it over at the Justice Department targeting parents. The things we see from the information we released yesterday about them reducing the numbers on domestic terrorist catalog cases. So I guess it shouldn’t surprise. [00:59:54][26.8]

STARNES: [00:59:54] Yeah. I want to talk about that letter that you guys have written to Christopher Wray over at the FBI. So the allegation from whistleblowers is that they were boosting those domestic violent extremism cases. What’s going on there? [01:00:10][15.4]

JORDAN: [01:00:11] Well, they set up this office. And so now I guess if you’ve got a big, fancy new office that’s focused on this area and type of cases, then you’ve got to have the numbers to justify it. And it sounds like that’s what they’re doing. Plus, this is part of the lefts political narrative today that anyone who is a conservative is somehow a threat. It’s ridiculous. But I think the other takeaway is there’s quickly becoming a well-worn path of FBI whistleblowers coming to our Republicans on the Judiciary Committee and talking about political things going on at the Justice Department. We’ve had multiple whistleblowers come to us on the school board issue. We’ve had now multiple whistleblowers come to us on this issue. So I just find the fact it’s been over a dozen whistleblowers have come. In my time in Congress, we’ve never had anything like that, all from one agency because again, it’s now become so political in the Biden administration. [01:01:07][56.3]

STARNES: [01:01:08] And, Congressman, don’t forget about the other whistleblower who came forward saying that FBI bosses were telling them to shut down a lot of this Hunter Biden dirt. [01:01:17][9.1]

JORDAN: [01:01:18] Yeah, that is the whistleblower who came to Senator Grassley and great that you brought that up because it’s interesting. Todd, the same person Senator Grassley references in his letter at the FBI who whistleblowers have talked about this same person, this individual who suppressed evidence that was verifiable about, you know, the Hunter Biden issue in 2020. That same person is the individual our whistleblowers tell us is pressuring them to juice up the numbers of cases that they categorized as domestic violence or excuse me, domestic terrorism cases. So that same individual is at the heart of both of these stories, which, again, I think is kind of frightening if this individual has this much influence in the Justice Department. [01:02:05][46.4]

My Faith Votes Pushes Kansas Pro-Life Legislation

STARNES: [01:02:05] When you look at the broad picture here, Congressman, and again, the idea that they’re going after moms and dads who went to school board meetings, they have been behind and doing some very questionable things going over, let’s talk about the Michigan governor and the alleged kidnaping plot, which the FBI was apparently behind. We still don’t know how many FBI agents were involved in the planning or the execution of what happened on Jan. 6. Is this an agency that can be salvaged and repaired, or does it need to be dismantled and rebuilt? [01:02:38][33.2]

JORDAN: [01:02:40] Well, you definitely need new leadership and we need to continue to get the facts and the truth to the American people. We may need to look at if, in fact, the American people put us in the majority in the Congress next year, we may need to look at, you know, the appropriations process and how that interacts with the Justice Department. I still believe that the vast, vast, vast majority of agents are good people, doing great work for our country but that the folks at the top have been the problem. Just a couple of years ago when it was Comey, McCabe and Paige and all these individuals. So that has been the problem. And frankly, you can’t really fix all that until you get a new president, until President Trump runs again and wins. [01:03:17][37.7]

STARNES: [01:03:18] On the Patriot Mobile Newsmaker Line our good friend, Congressman Jim Jordan. Congressman, saw you on Newsmax the other night and you were weighing in on the J. 6 panel and you said they’ve been caught in eight different lies. What are those lies? [01:03:32][14.0]

JORDAN: [01:03:34] Well, they lied about Bernie Kerik’s travels. Another person said, no, no. Trump Would Make Everyday Americans Safe Again: Liz Harrington

STARNES: [01:05:13] It’s really jaw dropping to see this play out. And they think the American people are dumb enough to buy this. I don’t think they are. And first of all, not a lot of people are watching this, but when you’ve got The Washington Post out, what day before yesterday? Washington Post came out, said, well, the feds are investigating Trump in connection to a criminal probe, hinting that he may be the focus without actually saying if he is or is not. But what I find fascinating is you had the committee say there were no criminal charges coming out or recommendations coming out of the committee, but the FBI director or the attorney general is now saying Merrick Garland. Well, there may be some things there. It seems to me they’re just hell bent on trying to find something to pin on Trump. [01:05:58][45.2]

JORDAN: [01:06:00] Well, they’ve been that way, as you know, and you’ve talked about this and you’ve explained it so well. They’ve been that way since they first spied on President Trump’s campaign five years ago, six years ago, 2015 and 2016, during the last campaign. So that’s always been their focus. It continues to be, but the bottom line is this is frightening. And this is third world banana republic kind of stuff. If you’re going after a former head of state like they’re doing here, I mean, I’ve seen Professor Turley on on on TV, in interviews, talking about why he sees no basis for this. So for goodness sake, but this is unfortunately today’s left, which controls the Biden administration, which controls the Justice Department and the political bent that they have. [01:06:46][46.3]

STARNES: [01:06:47] Alright, Congressman, we’re going to leave it there. Good intel, appreciate it. And thank you for coming on the show. [01:06:52][5.0]

JORDAN: [01:06:53] You bet thank you. Take care. [01:06:54][1.3]
